The Kingston borough elections elections ballots have officially been counted and the Lib Dems won for another term, taking the majority with 44 out of 48 seats.

The Lib Dems, Labour, and the Conservative party all stood 48 seats in yesterday's election, but it was obvious from early on that the Lib Dems would do well.

However, in the penultimate hour, the party's winning streak was broken by the Kingston Independnt Residents Group (KIRG) as its candidates James Giles and Yvonne Tracey have regained their seats in Green Lane and St James Ward with 1,043 and 1,001 votes.

This was followed by a win from the Conservatives which saw Ian George and Rowena Bass regain their seats in Coombe Hill.

We have listed all candidates and winners for all 19 wards below:

The table for St Marks and Seething Wells is a duplicate and not the results for SMSW.
