Last chance to comment on Surbiton cafe's new seating plans

A cafe in Surbiton could get an outdoor seating area on the pavement.
The Olive Tree on Hook Road has submitted a licensing application to Kingston Council seeking permission to add a seating area outside in front of the decking, 3.10 m from the street.
Should the application be approved, the cafe hopes to add 12 aluminium removable chairs and 4 removable tables to the new area for the purpose of consuming food or drink.
If approved, it will operate from 8.30am - 4pm Monday through Saturday and from 9am - 4pm on Sundays.
Speaking about the plans, The Olive Tree said: "The premises used to be with similar outside tables with the previous ownership."
Residents have until the end of today (Tuesday, 1 September) to submit representations for this application and can do so here.
