The Tiffin Girls' School has been recognised as the fifth top state secondary in London, with Tiffin School coming sixth, by The Times.

Listing the top private and state schools in London and the UK, The Times have published school league tables for this year's Parent Power guide.

Albeit three places down from last year, The Tiffin Girls' School came seventh in the national rankings.  It is a selective academy, celebrating its 144th year of providing education. An 'Outstanding' Ofsted report from 2021 said: "Pupils thrive here. They take to heart the core values of community, love of learning and character. They organise fundraising events and are active citizens in the local community. For example, pupils visit local care homes and support primary school pupils in their learning.

"Pupils achieve exceptionally high standards in all their subjects. This includes disadvantaged pupils and those with Send ... Pupils receive talks from a wide range of employers and apprenticeship providers. They are encouraged to visit universities and find out about the range of courses on offer."

The Tiffin Girls' School was ranked third in the country for its GCSE results as 94.4% of students achieved grades 9/8/7 (A*/A). For A-levels, the results were equally impressive with 88.5% of students achieving A*-B grades.

The male-only Tiffin School has also scrubbed up well nationally with ranking 17th best state secondary, moving up four places from last year.

A 'Good Ofsted report from 2022 said: "Pupils are rightly proud of their school. They especially value the vast range of extracurricular opportunities on offer. These opportunities play an important role in supporting pupils' mental health and wellbeing.

"Leaders are committed to developing the 'whole child', making sure that pupils are fully prepared for later life."

Approximately 81.5% of students achieved GCSE grades 9/8/7 (A*/A), coming 27th on the national league tables. A-level results saw 86.7% of students securing grades A*-B.

Tiffin School is also now accepting girls in its Sixth Form.
