On Saturday 2 November, Banquet Records appeared on Strictly Come Dancing when it was visited by local celebrity and stand-up comedian Chris McCausland, who is a contestant on this year's show, and his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell.

Speaking about bringing Buswell to his local record store, McCausland said on Saturday night's show: "I just love the nostalgia of the vinyl format.

"You can even feel the music."

Speaking about Chris and Dianne's visit, Banquet Records' John Tolley told Kingston Nub: "Chris is a local and it was no surprise he wanted to bring his fave record shop into the homes of Saturday night viewers.

"They were very funny, and that chemistry you see on screen is most evident."

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Banquet Records said: "good fun having Chris and Diane in at Banquet during the week. Chris is a proper vinyl nerd, and Diane's journey is just beginning…"
