Kingston: Woman rushed to hospital following worrying collision with moped just off Upper Richmond Road

A woman was rushed to hospital this morning following a serious head injury after getting into a collision with a moped in Kingston.

The 23-year-old was riding her e-scooter along Dyers Lane just off Upper Richmond Road when she collided with a moped.

The female sustained a serious head injury and was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service before being taken to St George's Hospital for further treatment.

Commenting on this morning's incident, Kingston Police said: "On Friday 28th October 2022, at 07:19 hours, Police and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended a report of a 23 year old female who had been riding an e-scooter along Dyers Lane SW15 junction with Upper Richmond Road SW15, when she was in collision with a moped.

"The female has sustained a serious head injury, and was treated at the scene by LAS and taken to St George's Hospital for further treatment."

"A crime scene and road closures are in place. Investigation is ongoing.

"Please be aware that there may be delays in the area."
