A rooftop bar overlooking the Thames in Kingston is set to close permanently.

Sonny's, which first opened back in July last year under the ownership of local businessman, Sam Berry, is set to close at the end of the month.

Speaking about the closure, Berry, who also owns Cento Uno in Surbiton, said: "Our time in the sun is coming to an end.

"Sonny's Riverside will trade for the last time on Sunday, 20 September.

"What started as a short-term rooftop pop-up became two unforgettable summers of sunsets, long Sundays, late nights, celebrations and memories by the river — all because of you.

"The building has changed hands and the upper levels are being redeveloped, but this isn't the end of Sonny's. We've got exciting news for the future…

"First, we've got one last September together.

"Three weekends remain to enjoy the roof, the river and that golden hour one more time. So book the table, round up the group chat and make it count.
