Kingston Council has created a newsletter filled with advice on staying safe in the sun as the current heatwave continues.

The Met office has today (Thursday, 25 June) extended London's Red Heath Health Alert to Friday, 26 June at 11pm.

The council said: "Remember to take care and look after people who may be vulnerable in the heat - children, babies, older residents and those with long-term health conditions.

"It is important to stay hydrated, carry water with you. Try to stay in the shade. Look out for others."

Kingston Council's heat safety pack can be viewed here.
