Community Brain's annual Seething Festival took place from 12pm – 4.30pm in St Andrew's Square in Surbiton yesterday, Sunday, 2 March, and the early March sun was shining down on the many people that attended, making it a day to remember.

Since 2009, the Seething Festival has marked the official start of the Seething Village calendar of community-led events.
Throughout the day, volunteers were on hand to ensure that everyone was having a good time, and there were DJ sounds and various stalls.

Among the stalls was a street food stall selling Halloumi slices, fries, and more, and the award-winning Surrey Ices ice cream van.

The Lamb was also on hand with its charity 'baa' selling cheap drinks.

A clothing stall was also at the festival as well as a jewellery stall.

For the kids, there was face painting and colouring.

Kitchen Roots Community, a food bank in Chessington, also had a stall selling cakes provided by their donations.
Kitchen Roots Community feeds the community "healthy, tasty, and sustainable" meals every Tuesday from 12.45pm – 2.30pm at St. Mary's Centre in Chessington.

Once attendees were settled in with a drink and some food, Brett Alderton took to the stage to welcome everyone and share the legend of Lefi Ganderson and the Goat Boy.

As Alderton spoke, Community Brain's Robin Hutchinson MBE stood in the crowd in a marvellous black and gold embroidered coat and goat headdress.

Following Alderton's welcome, singer Jack Harris took to the stage with his sweet melodies.

This was then followed by the main event, the parade, which saw many guests at the festival walking through the streets in various costumes led by the giant.

Speaking to Kingston Nub News about the day, a Surbiton resident said: "This festival is wonderful, and Surbiton is a great community."
The festival even saw a guest from Battersea who said: "This is a wonderful and collective atmosphere.
"The music's great and The Lamb with the good beer and the stalls with the great food is brilliant."
