Hogsmill Nature Reserve invites you to join its open day on 6 October from 11am-3pm.

The day will be filled with activities, including pond dipping, crafts, games, bird spotting, and more.

Food and drinks will be available and there will also be a talk on the risk of Asian Hornets (vespa velutina) as well as the offer to try and buy honey from Kingston beekeepers.

A Hogsmill Nature Reserve spokesperson said: "Enter the reserve and leave the busy world behind you, relax taking in the tranquillity of the surroundings and enjoy a great day out on your doorstep with Thames Water."

It is an 8-acre reserve with a variety of habitats and wildlife in the heart of Kingston upon Thames.

Whether you fancy watching the birds, photographing the wildflowers or hunting for minibeasts, the reserve can offer an escape for the whole family.

Hogsmill Nature Reserve is easily found at the end of Lower Marsh Lane, just before it becomes pedestrianised.
