Four Kingston pubs have featured in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide.

Celebrating its 51st edition, the UK's best-selling beer and pub guide surveys 4,500 of the best pubs across the country.

The Albion, Park Tavern, Willoughby Arms and Wych Elm have all been included in the 2024 edition which has been compiled by thousands of independent volunteers.

This year's edition comes with a striking cover and a foreword supplied by Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson.

Dickinson's foreword shines a spotlight on the cultural tradition of pubs within the United Kingdom, the importance of protecting the heritage, charm and welcoming nature of pubs and clubs, and not taking them for granted.

Across Greater London some 293 pubs are covered as well as 122 breweries, with 68 new entries.

The Albion, part of the chain which involves the Big Smoke Brew, serves ales mostly small nationwide breweries with up to five alternating ciders. The guide adds there is music on vinyl LPs and boardgames.

Describing Park Tavern, the guide says the pub was "originally converted from two cottages, it is about 150 years old" and run by the same family for over 30 years.

Commended as Local Pub of the year 2020, Willoughby Arms is deemed as a "friendly Victorian back-street" pub which sources beers from smaller breweries. It adds that the "spacious garden has heated beach huts and a covered, heated smoking area".

Finally, the guide also reports the Wych Elm as a "delightful, warm and welcoming local pub" with a "Master Cellarman to take care of the beers".
