Kitchen and bathroom supplier Lane & Wenden is moving to the Woking area after over four decades of business.
The owners, Grenville and Elizabeth Williams, will continue to run the shop's material supply operations from a new, smaller office space outside of the borough.
The move will both cut down on their commute and their workload, allowing both to retire part-time.
Standing in his salesroom of 24 years, Mr Williams commented "[It] feels a bit unusual not to go to work every morning, but I'm ready to retire from the kitchen and bathroom business and move onto the next stage of my life."
The two are celebrating their new-found freedom with a trip to Bali later this year.
While the business started out as a hardware store under the ownership of Peter Wenden, the couple took over in 2000 and pivoted to selling kitchens and bathrooms five years later.
Mr Williams estimates they are responsible for around 600 to 850 projects around the local area during their tenure.
The unit is already being reconfigured for its next tenant, Cycle Exchange, as storage for their Sury Basin workshop and cafe which currently relies on deliveries from their existing premises in Esher.
Founder and CEO Matt Connelley reported that the company was hoping to move their entire online stock into the space, with an expected capacity of 300 bicycles.
The owners of the two businesses were in good spirits as they prepared the shop for its new role.
