Last Saturday, 28 September, thousands of locals attended the annual Surbiton Festival, including a very special guest, Lib Dem leader and Kingston and Surbiton MP Sir Ed Davey.

Speaking about the festival Ed Davey MP told Kingston Nub News: "I had a fantastic time last Saturday at the Surbiton Festival.

"It is incredible to see how our local community comes together to celebrate our diverse and incredible collection of local businesses, charities and musicians."

He continued: "Thank you to everyone that makes the Surbiton Festival possible."

Surbiton festival is the largest free to attend community event held annually in Surbiton for the past 30 years (bar during covid).

"It is a vibrant celebration of community spirit, creativity, and local culture with an array of free activities catering to all ages," said Robert Dobbie, Chairman of the Surbiton Festival Committee.

"The festival really captures the essence of Surbiton's electric and inclusive nature and is a great day out organised by a small committee of local businesses and volunteers, much to the delight year on year of the thousands that attend."

At this year's festival, there was live music throughout the day on two stages in Claremont Gardens and St Andrews Square with performances that showcase a range of local talent.
