The 2021 Draw Off Walk Teddington to Richmond
Teddington Lock to Richmond Lock
A guided walk, during the annual draw off from Teddington Lock to Richmond
About this event:
Meet on the Thames Path by the lock keepers house at Teddington Lock (the Ham side of the river). The walk will be guided by Jason Debney from the Thames Landscape Strategy. The walk will make its way from Teddington Lock, past Eel Pie Island to Richmond. During the walk you will be able to learn more about how the river would function as a natural unit if it were not for the Richmond Lock and Weir and how the Rewilding Arcadia project sets out to find nature based ways to manage future flood risk brought about by climate change. Meet at 11am. Finish Richmond at 2.00 pm. Tickets: £11.37 Wellies or sturdy mudproof shoes are highly recommended. Please note that the TLS has no control of the weather. Please do dress for rain if it looks likely. Although the date has been chosen to coincide with a predicted low tide, the river can change suddenly resulting in more water that would be norm!Share:
