Only one Wetherspoon pub in Kingston Borough will reopen on April 12th.

Government rules mean that only outdoor hospitality can operate before May.

This means The Watchman in New Malden will be the only Spoons open in Kingston Borough.

The likes of The Kings Tun in Kingston and The Coronation Hall in Surbiton will remain closed.

394 of the 872 Spoons pubs in the country will open in April.

From Sunday to Thursday the pub will be open from 9am until 9pm, and on Friday and Saturday the pub will stay open until 10pm.

The reduced menu will feature breakfast, burgers, pizza, deli deals, fish and chips and "British classics".

Customers will be able to order and pay through the Wetherspoons app, although staff will be able to take orders and payment at the table from those without the app.

Wetherspoon chief executive John Hutson said: "We are looking forward to welcoming our customers and staff back to our pubs."
