Kingston's Cromwell Road Bus Station is now closed for repairs, the Council announced today.

Buses that usually stop at the station will be on diversion for a week as the work takes place.

It will re-open after 23 May when the work is completed.

The Council said: "The bus station in Kingston town centre is now closed until 23 May due to essential

@thameswater repair works.

"A single lane closure will be in place throughout the duration of the works. Buses are diverted to other locations in the town centre.

"Signage with directions to the alternative bus stops is on site and at Kingston Rail Station, or you can visit the @TfL website to plan your journey."

The station serves routes linking Kingston and Heathrow, Surbiton, Roehampton, Tolworth and Sutton.

It also provides commuters with transport to the London Underground system, with bus routes going direct to both Morden (Northern line) and Richmond (District line) stations.
