Offshore Geotechnical EngineerKingston-Upon-Thames (Office based) - 12 month contract 60 p/h Outside IR35 Are you looking for a contract role Outside IR35 role with an excellent hourly rate working on various exciting Renewable energy and Oil and Gas ProjectsYou will plan, execute, and interpret offshore geotechnical investigations for structures such as wind turbine foundations, oil & gas platforms, and subsea pipelines. Key responsibilities include data analysis, foundation design/installation recommendations, and ensuring strict compliance with industry standards and project requirements.This role is perfect for a Geotechnical engineer with experience on offshore projects experience working within the Oil and gas or Renewable energy industry. In this role you will work within a team of Geotechnical engineers to ensure work is completed to a high standard.The company are a market leader in the Oil and gas/EPC sectors specialising in onshore and offshore projects. The Role:
- Lead Geotechnical Investigations: Plan site investigations (CPT, boreholes), analyze soil data, and interpret results to derive key geotechnical parameters.
- Generate Technical Documentation: Prepare critical reports, including Geotechnical Interpretive Reports (GIRs) and Foundation Design Reports (FDRs).
- Provide Foundation Expertise: Support detailed foundation design (piles, caissons, shallow foundations), perform pile analysis, and contribute to FEED/detailed design phases.
- Ensure Compliance and Risk Management: Uphold safety (HSEQ), manage geotechnical risks (HAZID/HAZOP), and ensure strict adherence to ISO, API, and DNV industry standards.
The Person:
- 5-10 years in offshore geotechnical roles, focused on pile and foundation design/installation.
- Degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
- Expertise in CPT interpretation, soil-structure interaction, shallow foundations, and pile installation.
