This role could be for you! LTF Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming Primary school in Kingston Upon Thames (KT10). The school seeks an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant who can provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 5 student facing challenges in building relationships, along with supporting other children with SEND needs.
Daily responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 support to a Year 5 student with SEMH needs, particularly focused on building positive relationships.
- Working closely with children with SEND, ASD, and ADHD to support their individual learning and social development.
- Tracking and documenting student academic progress and social-emotional development to ensure tailored support.
- Offering general assistance in the classroom, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson delivery, and adapting materials to meet diverse learning needs.
- Designing and creating engaging, sensory-rich learning spaces that promote a calm and stimulating atmosphere for the student.
The perfect candidate will have:
- Relevant level 3 Teaching Assistant position or Equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
- Confident in building relationships with individual students.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
